The famed socialite, Vera Sidika, who is married to the musician Brown Mauzo has undergone booty reduction surgery over “health risks and complications”. She advised ladies to learn to love themselves and not let peer pressure rush them into things that would ruin their lives in the future.
Sidika’s announcement comes barely a month since Nation Media ran Roxanne Wanjiru’s story who performed an 850,000 KES surgical procedure to increase her behind due to a desire for a perfect body – just like the ones she saw on Instagram).
Vera Sidika broke the news via an Instagram post. She stated as follows:
… This has been the hardest phase of my life, [D]ue to health risks and complications, I had to undergo surgery. It’s still very unbelievable but I have come to terms with it & learnt to love myself regardless. Ladies, [please] learn to love yourself & don’t ever let peer pressure rush [you] into things that will ruin you in [the] future. I’m lucky to be alive, God loves me so much. Honestly, it’s been pretty hard. I didn’t even celebrate my [birthday] this year, but here we are. Happy birthday to me. New me. I have come to appreciate life & never take things for granted. Thanks to my family, especially my husband for being there for me.
To my fans: I am still the same sweetest Vera Sidika and that hasn’t changed. I appreciate y’all love & pray you will walk through this journey with me.

This is not the first time that Sidika has undergone a change in her popularly admirable body. In 2019, she temporarily reverted her skin tone to black and even released a song “Mimi” which addressed discrimination based on skin colour.
